The Discovery Call
Forty-five minutes where you talk about the thing you know best — your own business — and I listen for the hours hiding in it.
What it actually is
The discovery call is a structured conversation, in person or over video — whichever you prefer. There's no pitch and no tech talk. My job is to understand how your business really runs: not the org-chart version, but the Monday-morning version, where things get retyped, re-explained, and chased down.
You don't need to prepare anything. Before we meet, I'll send a few short prep questions that take about ten minutes. That's it. If you want a head start, just notice which tasks you dread this week — that instinct is usually pointing at the biggest leak.
The kinds of questions I'll ask
- Walk me through your Monday morning, from the first thing you check to lunch.
- What information gets typed into one place and then re-typed somewhere else?
- What questions do customers ask over and over?
- What task keeps getting pushed to nights and weekends?
- Where does your staff lose time waiting on you — and where do you lose time waiting on them?
- What software are you already paying for, and how much of it do you actually use?
Notice none of these are about AI. That's deliberate — the technology comes later. This call is entirely about your business.
Why the call is recorded
With your permission, I record and transcribe the conversation using an AI note-taker. This lets me actually listen instead of scribbling notes, and it means the analysis afterward works from your exact words — not my memory of them.
Your privacy: the recording is used only for your assessment, is never shared with anyone, and is deleted once your project wraps up.
What happens next
The moment we hang up, Step 2 begins: I take the full transcript and get to work identifying your biggest time drains and researching the specific tools that fix them. You won't need to do anything — your report arrives within days.
